Inspiring to Aspire aims to develop and inspire young people to become ceative and capable leaders, providing them with important skills for the future.
Leadership opportunities provide pupils with rich and varied contexts to acquire, develop and apply a broad range of knowledge, understanding and skills, enabling them to think creatively and critically, to solve problems and to make a difference for the better. They should be given the opportunity to become creative, innovative, enterprising and capable of leadership to equip them for their future lives as workers and citizens. There are numerous benefits to providing leadership opportunities to all pupils, the only challenge is what best suits your pupils and how you are going to implement it within the constraints of your school.
Through completing these courses, pupils will take part in practical learning through leadership activities, this will allow them to continually develop their skills and knowledge through practice. All skills can also be applied and built on through leading activities in class or in an extra-curricular setting.
